  • Day 1: Home ~ Bangkok, Thailand
    Depart from the US for your international flight to Bangkok.
  • Day 2: Bangkok
    Upon arrival in Bangkok, transfer to the hotel and check in. The remainder of the day will be yours to enjoy.
  • Day 3: Bangkok
    In the morning, head out for a half day tour of Bangkok and visit some of the famous temples. See three of the most unusual Buddhist temples in Bangkok: Wat Trimitr with its invaluable Golden Buddha with 5 tons of solid gold. Wat Po, the most extensive temple in Bangkok, with its colossal Reclining Buddha and the Chedis of the Kings. The Grand Palace is one of the most beautiful samples of an ancient Siamese court. It used to be the residence of the Kings of Thailand. Here you will see palaces which were used for different occasions: the Funeral Palace, the Reception Palace, the Throne Hall, the Coronation Hall, the Royal Guest House, and the beautiful Emerald Buddha Temple. Return to the hotel and the afternoon will be at your own leisure to enjoy. (B)
  • Day 4: Bangkok ~ River Kwai
    This morning, early departure from your hotel in Bangkok to Kanchanaburi. Visit the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre dedicated to presenting the history of the railway. Visit Allied War Cemetery, resting place for more than 6,000 Allied prisoners of war. Visit the world famous Bridge over the River Kwai, a part of Death Railway constructed by Allied POWs. Arrive at River Camp and check in. After lunch on the property, visit the Hellfire Pass Memorial Museum which is dedicated to those Australians and other Allied Prisoners of War and Asian laborers who suffered and died at Helfire Pass and elsewhere in the Asia Pacific region during WW2. Treking along the Helfire Pass Walking Trails and return to the camp in the late afternoon. Get on a mountain bike to visit a village nearby the camp. Enjoy dinner at the camp tonight. (B, L, D)
  • Day 5: River Kwai
    This morning, visit the nearby ethnic Mon Tribal Village. Afterward, take a walk to explore the fertile tropical forest, a temptation for all nature lovers. The afternoon will be yours to enjoy and relax at the property. (B, L, D)
  • Day 6: River Kwai ~ Bangkok
    In the morning, after checking out, depart the village and transfer to lunch at local restaurant. Afterward, take a historic ride on Death Railway Train passing over original wooden viaduct constructed by Allied POWs. Return back to Bangkok and check in at the hotel upon arrival. (B, L)
  • Day 7: Bangkok ~ Home
    Today, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home as your trip comes to an end. (B)
