  • Day 1: Chiang Mai, Thailand
    Upon arrival in Chiang Mai, transfer to the hotel and check in. Free pick up from 9am - 10pm. The remainder of the day will be at your own leisure to enjoy.
  • Day 2: Chiang Mai
    After breakfast, proceed to the Maetaeng Elephant Camp, where you can have an up-close experience with the elephant. Ride an elephant with a tropical view and enjoy activities such as painting show from the elephant, bamboo rafting, ox cart rides, get to learn Thailand’s rural way of life, and more. Moreover, this is not just an elephant camp but also a free elephant clinic where all the funding is from the Park which means that you won’t just be enjoying your time with elephants but you are also helping the elephants to live and thrive! Enjoy the buffet lunch at the elephant camp. Next, enjoy some time visiting the Long Neck Kayan Tribe and learn about their culture and way of life. Later on, visit Wat Ban Den, the Blue Temple, which is named due to the color of the main structure. Last stop, head to the Elephant Poopoo Paper Park. This park creates a eco-friendly paper by using elephant dung. End your day today with creating your own eco-friendly bookmark made out of elephant dung. (B, L)
  • Day 3: Chiang Mai
    This morning, head out to Wat Doi Suthep. Perched on a forested mountain, this most sacred Chiang Mai Temple provides a superb view over the city. Then visit the summer palace of the royal family of Thailand- Pu Ping Palace. A royal winter palace where the Thai royal comes to enjoy the nice weather that Chiang Mai has to offer during the winter season. However, it is important to remember no shorts or any revealing clothes at the palace. Afterward, take a ride on Tuk Tuk, the traditional public transportation in Thailand. While on the ride, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the city. Tour the night market in Chiang Mai. Along the road, there are many vendors selling fruits, snacks and art crafts. Return to the hotel afterward. (B, L)
  • Day 4: Chiang Mai ~ Bangkok
    After breakfast, head to Baan Tawai Village located in the outskirts of Chiang Mai. There are several family craft workshops. The whole village is engaged in wood carving, where you can learn about the wood carving process and buy the art crafts. After lunch, transfer to the airport for the flight to Bangkok (FLIGHT INCLUDED). Upon arrival in Bangkok, proceed to the hotel to check-in. The rest of the day is on your own arrangement.   • Day 5: Bangkok
    After breakfast, proceed to The Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, where Thai people still keep the traditional way of trade in Bangkok. For lunch, guests can enjoy all kinds of Thai cuisine and snacks at the market at own expense. After lunch, return to Bangkok to visit the Grand Palace. The palace represents the spirit of Thailand, including the collections of drawings, sculptures, and structures. Near the palace, Temple of the Emerald Buddha is also a well-known spot for tourists. This temple is regarded as the most sacred Buddhist temple in Thailand. (B, D)
  • Day 6: Bangkok ~ Ayutthaya ~ Bangkok
    This morning, coach to Ayutthaya to visit the summer palace of Thai Kings, Bang Pa-In Royal Palace. The palace combines the styles of Myanmar, Thailand, China, and Gothic architecture. Later, proceed to Ayothaya Floating Market to experience the fun of a boat ride. Enjoy the traditional Thai dance and taste all kinds of delicious food here. This afternoon, visit Wat Mahathat, one of the oldest Buddhist temples, where the famous Buddha in a tree is located. Today’s lunch and dinner are arranged on own. (B)
  • Day 7: Bangkok ~ Siem Reap, Cambodia
    After breakfast, proceed to the airport for the flight to Siem Reap, Cambodia (FLIGHT INCLUDED). Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free at leisure. (B)
  • Day 8: Siem Reap
    Today’s tour in Angkor city starts from taking a tour from the Angkor Thom South Gate and the exploration of the ancient city. Visit the ruins at Bayon, Baphoun, Phimeanakas, the Royal Palace, the Elephant Terrace, and the Leper King Terrace. After lunch, continue the tour at the magnificent Angkor Wat where its extraordinary architecture offers an opportunity to experience a spectacular sunset over the monuments. Tonight, enjoy the buffet dinner while enjoying a dance show. Return to the hotel afterward. (B, L, D)
  • Day 9: Siem Reap
    Today, the entire day will be at your own leisure to enjoy. (B)
  • Day 10: Siem Reap ~ Home
    Today your trip comes to an end. You will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight. (B)

  2. What is the group size of this tour?
    The maximum group size will be 35 people per coach. Our Thailand tours are suitable for families, kids, seniors.
  3. What kind of tour is this?
    This is an Escorted Group Tour by coach. This guided tour features the highlights of certain cities in a brief visit.
  4. How much does single supplement or triple sharing cost?
    Single supplement costs an additional $525USD and triple sharing has a $45USD deduction.
  5. What do I do if I want to extend my stay in Thailand or Cambodia?
    Please let us know during your booking, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
  6. How long is the duration of tour?
    A full day of tour is scheduled from around 8am to 7pm
  7. Does this tour include any flights?
    Land Only packages only include  flights within Asia. International flights are included for selected dates only and departing out of Los Angeles. For air rates from other cities, please contact us directly at [email protected]
  8. What if I don’t want to join the tour some days or only join for half a day?
    Due to this is a group tour, you will need to follow the group for the entire program and cannot deviate. Any deviation will result in a penalty at the discretion of the local office.
  9. Is there a luggage limit?
    The luggage allowed for each passenger on our Group tours is limited to one piece of a maximum of 44lbs (note airlines and trains have their own limits, normally lower). We may refuse to accept excessively bulky luggage. Flights within Asia airline luggage included is at 44lbs for each  flight per person. Anything extra will have to be paid at your own expense.
  10. Will someone help me with my luggage?
    Porterage is not included and you are responsible to handle your own luggage at all times.
  11. What mode of transportation will be used?
    This tour will use a Coach unless specifically stated.
  12. Will the bus have toilets?
    Thailand & Cambodia Group tours will not have toilets in the bus.
  13. Are the tours wheelchair friendly?
    Our coaches are not equipped with access ramps for wheelchairs.
  14. Can three guests stay in the same room?
    Yes, each room has a maximum occupancy of either 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child. The triple room deduction rate is $45USD per person. If there are two children, a second room will need to be booked. If a child occupies a bed, the child rate cannot be applied.
  15. Can we change the meal plan?
    Charming Travel Destinations offers vegetarian meal options for travelers. If you have any food allergies, please let us know during your booking.
  16. What information do I need to provide to book?
    Please provide legal names, email address, phone number, mailing address, number of rooms (single-triple occupancy), travel insurance preference, birth dates, and passport information.
  17. Do I need a visa to visit Thailand or Cambodia?
    Visa is not required for travelers with U.S. or Canadian passports visiting Thailand. A landing visa is required for Cambodia at an additional $30 USD per person upon arriving at customs in Cambodia.
  18. How much is the deposit to reserve a spot in the tour?
    For Land Only, the deposit is $300USD. For Land + Air packages, the deposit will be 50% of overall tour price
  19. Are there gratuities included? If not included, how much?
    Gratuities are not included and we suggest $5 to $10USD per person per day.
  20. What can we do since the Departure Airport Transfer is not included?
    Departure airport transfer IS INCLUDED, but only at 9am. You must make sure to depart with us at 9am in order to get free airport transfer. Any other time, you will need to make your own arrangements.
  21. When should I expect to receive my travel documents and confirmations?
    Travel Documents and Hotel confirmations will be emailed out 1 week before arrival.
  22. What time can we check-in or out?
    The hotel check in is usually about 2pm and check out is 10am. If you want your room to be available for more time, consider booking an extra night.
  23. Are airport transfers included?
    Arrival transfers are included if arriving between 9am-10pm. This service is subject to limitations such as hour, airport terminal and as stated on the itinerary.
  24. Are the hotels listed the exact ones we will get?
    Final hotel confirmation will not be available until 1 week prior to departure. Hotels may be confirmed at any of the hotels listed or at similar properties.
