  • Day 1: San Jose, Costa Rica
    Upon arrival in San Jose, transfer to the hotel and check in. The day will be at your own leisure to enjoy
  • Day 2: San Jose ~ La Paz ~ San Jose
    After breakfast, journey out to Poas Volcano National Park. Poas Volcano is one of the most famous volcanoes of Costa Rica and the world's largest active volcano. There are technically 2 volcanoes on the peak, one emits sulphur while the other one is a crater-lake filled with rainfall. The unique environment of the park consists of a great variety of plants such as mosses, mushrooms, ferns, etc. Later, head to the La Paz Waterfalls and the ecology garden featuring on native butterflies, insects, snakes, frogs, and etc. Return to San Jose afterward. (B, L)
  • Day 3: San Jose ~ Tortuguero
    Early this morning, head to Tortuguero. Admire the astonishing protected areas in Costa Rica as we drive by Braulio Carrillo National Park, a primary forest in 95% of its extension. Have a Costa Rican breakfast on your way to Tortuguero. Be our special guest in a Banana Processing and Packaging Plant (subject to the plant opening schedule). Board a boat upon arrival to the port and let this extraordinarily exotic paradise enchant you as you travel along the Tortuguero Canals. Enjoy a refreshing cocktail and delicious lunch as we welcome you to the Lodge. After lunch, we will visit the museum, the beach area, and the small and picturesque town of Tortuguero. (B, L, D)
  • Day 4: Tortuguero ~ San Jose
    Enjoy nature at its best as you undertake a journey through the Tortuguero Canals at dawn and take your best photographs of a real Caribbean sunrise. Breakfast will be served upon arrival back at the Lodge. Later, make the journey back to San Jose first by boat and then bus passing through countryside spotted with many banana farms. (B, L)
  • Day 5: San Jose ~ Arenal ~ San Jose
    This morning, head to Arenal Volcano, which is the most active volcano and may erupt anytime. Located northwest of San Jose at an altitude of 1,633m, the peak can be seen from miles away. On the way, stop at Sarchi, Costa Rica's most famous craft center and visit to Metal Church, a church painted red and made entirely of prefabricated metal sheets. Take photos of Arenal when we reach the viewing area. Later on, relax and unwind with a visit to Tabacon Hot Springs. (B, D)
  • Day 6: San Jose ~ Cartagena, Colombia
    This morning, transfer to the airport for the flight to Cartagena, Colombia. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and check in. The remainder of the day will be at your own leisure to enjoy. (B)
  • Day 7: Cartagena
    Today, the tour includes a panoramic tour of Bocagrande along with the Manga neighborhood where you will appreciate Republican architecture. We will then visit the Monastery and Church of La Popa, built in 1606. Next, we will visit the Fortress of San Felipe de Barajas, one of the most important historic military fortifications of the city designed to defend the city from pirate attacks. We will also enjoy a walking tour of the historic colonial center of Cartagena, surrounded entirely by a thick wall. (B, L)
  • Day 8: Cartagena ~ Bogota
    This morning, transfer to the airport for the flight to Bogota, the capital of Colombia. Upon arrival, proceed for a city tour to include a Cable Car ride up to the top of Monserrate, a mountain that dominates the center of Bogota. The tour will also cover the historic center known as "La Candelaria", visit the Colon Theatre, the San Carlos Palace, the San Ignacio Church, the Presidential Palace, Bolivar Square, the Capitol, the City Hall and the Cathedral. Finish the day with a delicious Colombian dinner before heading to the hotel for check in. (B, D)
  • Day 9: Bogota ~ Zipaquira ~ Bogota
    Morning flight to Iguassu. Upon arrival, you will transfer directly to the hotel for check-in. Later this evening, you will discover the traditional music and dances of Latin America and sample a variety of typical Brazilian and international dishes at the well-known Rafain Dinner Show. (B, D)
  • Day 10: Bogota ~ Home
    Today, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home as your trip comes to an end. (B)
