  • Day 1: Madrid, Spain
    Upon arrival in Madrid, transfer to the hotel and check in. The remainder of the day will be at yours to enjoy
  • Day 2: Madrid
    Today, a full day visit to the city through the centre of Madrid including Paseo del Prado, Cibeles, Neptuno, the Gate of Alcala, Plaza de Colon, and Plaza Mayor. Visit to Retiro Park, an oasis in the city centre, where you will see the lake and the Glass Palace. Visit the Las Ventas Bull Ring, one of the most famous bullrings in the world where you will learn about the tradition of corridas in the Bullfighting Museum. The afternoon will be yours to enjoy.   • Day 3: Madrid ~ Granada
    Depart Madrid in the early morning. Travel to the south across La Mancha, stopping in Puero Lapice, a manchego village evoking the figure of Don Quixote. You will enter Andalusia via Despenaperros. On arrival in Granada, transfer to lunch. In the afternoon, you will visit the immense Alhambra Palace***, and its beautiful Generalife gardens, built in Arab times. Later, you will have the option to transfer to the Albaicin of Granada, a World Heritage site where you can have dinner on own in the narrow winding streets of this captivating Medieval Moorish quarter. You will also have the option to attend a flamenco dance show and the traditional neighborhood of Sacramonte. (B, L)

    *** In the Alhambra complex, the Nazari palaces allow a limited number of people in at a time. In the highly
         improbable case of not being able to visit this area of the Alhambra, a visit to the Alcazares will be
         included in Seville, which have similar architecture and features.
  • Day 4: Granada ~ Seville
    Today, depart Granada and travel towards the Costa del Sol. Arrive in Malaga and take a stroll in the historic centre with its cathedral and the Picasso Museum. Afterward, continue along the coastal motorway with beautiful views of the Mediterranean. Puerto Banus, in Marbella, a pretty high level recreational port. In the afternoon, continue through the hills and their stores of bandoliers until we come to Ronda, a very beautiful white town with its large gorge that divides it in two. Continue to Seville and check in at the hotel on arrival. (B)
  • Day 5: Seville
    After breakfast, you will be guided through a scenic visit of Seville featuring the Cathedral and its famous Giralda, the banks of the Guadalquivir river, popular neighborhoods of Santa Cruz and Triana and the beautiful Plaza de Espana. After the tour, take a Boat trip along the river Guadalquivir, enjoying the panoramic views from the boat. Enjoy some leisure time afterward. At the end of the afternoon, we will go to the historic city centre area where you will be able to enjoy dinner on your own. (B)
  • Day 6: Seville ~ Lisbon, Portugal
    Today, depart from Sevilla and travel to Palos de la Frontera. Visit the Carabelas Museum. This is where Columbus set sail on August 03, 1492 for America. You will see the Rabida Monastery, declared a World Heritage Site, a Franciscan monastery strongly linked to the history of the discovery. Afterward, continue to Portugal. Enroute stop at the Mertola, an ancient Muslim city. It present church was a mosque. Later, through the white villages, you will come to Evora city, declared a World Heritage site with its wide streets, its Renaissance policies and its cathedral, we will visit the impressive Chapel of Bones, built with 5,000 skeletons! Arrive in Lisbon and transfer to hotel and check in. (B)
  • Day 7: Lisbon
    In the morning, you will have a sightseeing tour of the city. You will visit the traditional neighborhoods, which take in the Belem district, which is the birthplace of the great Portuguese navigators who sailed the oceans in the 15th Century. You will look around the Monument to the Discoveries, Belem Tower, and the beautiful Jeronimos Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The afternoon will be at your own leisure to enjoy the city.   • Day 8: Lisbon ~ Porto
    Travel to the north of Portugal and visit Fatima, an important sanctuary. Continue your way through Porto, Portugal’s second largest city. Take a city tour on the bank of Duero river and its historic center. You will also visit an old cellars here. The afternoon will be at your own leisure to enjoy the city. (B)
  • Day 9: Porto ~ Santiago de Compostela
    On this day, you will travel through beautiful landscapes. In the city of Braga, you will get on the world’s oldest Cable Car to go up to the Santuario de Bom Jesus, where you will enjoy its gorgeous view. We recommend trekking back down in order to admire its beautiful stairway. Continue the trip to Galicia. You will visit the historic town of Camados in Rias Baixas. A Glass Bottom Boat Trip is included where you will learn about the production of mussels and oysters. Enjoy a wine & mussel tasting. Arrive in Santiago de Compostela. An afternoon tour of this town which is a famous pilgrimage destination in the Middle Ages. (B)
  • Day 10: Santiago de Compostela ~ Madrid
    Today, travel along Camino de Santiago to Castile. You will take some time in Lugo to visit its historic centre and Roman walls which were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. An enroute stop will be made in O Cebreiro, a small Galician stone village. Arrive in Leon and you will have time to visit the Gothic cathedral with its stained glass window stroll through the historic center. Depart back to Madrid and check in at the hotel on arrival. (B)
  • Day 12: Madrid ~ Home
    Today, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home as your trip comes to an end. (B)

    This is an Escorted Group Tour by coach with an English speaking guide. This guided tour features the highlights of certain cities in a brief visit.
  3. How much does single supplement or triple sharing cost?
    Single supplement costs an additional $730USD and triple sharing has a $50USD deduction.
  4. Which entrance fees are covered in this tour?
    Boat cruise along Guadalquivir River in Seville, wine and mussel tasting boat trip in Cambados, Las Ventas bull ring in Madrid, Alhambra Palace in Granada, La Rabida Monastery and Caravel Museum, Chapel of Bones in Evora. Old Cellars in Porto, Cable car ride  in Jesus Sanctuary in Braga.
  5. Does this tour include any flights?
    This is a Land Only package tour and it does not include any flights. Please contact us for international flight rates.
  6. What if I don’t want to join the tour some days or only join for half a day?
    Due to this is a group tour, you will need to follow the group for the entire program and cannot deviate. Any deviation will result in a penalty at the discretion of the local office.
  7. Is there a luggage limit?
    The luggage allowed for each passenger on our Europe tours is limited to one piece of a maximum of 66lbs (note airlines and trains have their own limits, normally lower). We may refuse to accept excessively bulky luggage.
  8. Will someone help me with my luggage?
    Porterage is not included and you are responsible to handle your own luggage at all times.
  9. What mode of transportation will be used?
    This tour will use a Coach unless specifically stated.
  10. Will the bus have toilets?
    Some coaches may have toilets available, travelers are asked to limit its use (due to odors and absence of places where emptying and cleaning). Some coaches are fitted with toilets provided on a fee paying basis.
  11. Are the tours wheelchair friendly?
    Our Europe coaches are not equipped with access ramps for wheelchairs.
  12. What do I do if I want to extend my stay?
    Contact us and let us know if you want pre or post and how many days.
  13. How long is the duration of tour?
    A full day of tour is scheduled from around 8am to 7pm
  14. Can three guests stay in the same room?
    Europe has small rooms and in some countries it may be difficult to have 3 beds in a room. It may be a fold out bed or sofa bed. We do not recommend triple rooms/ triple sharing for 3 adults, we would suggest this for families travelling with a child.
  15. Can we change the meal plan?
    Charming Travel Destinations offers vegetarian meal options for travelers. Regrettably, we cannot accommodate certain food options in Europe like Gluten Free or Halal. Please inquire if you have any allergies we need to know about.
  16. What information do I need to provide to book?
    Please provide legal names, email address, phone number, mailing address, number of rooms (single-triple occupancy), travel insurance preference, birth dates, and passport information.
  17. Do I need a visa to visit Europe?
    In 2019, a Visa is not required for travelers with U.S. or Canadian passports to most countries in Europe.
  18. How much is the deposit to reserve a spot in the tour?
    For Land Only, the deposit is $300USD. For Land + Air packages, the deposit will be 50% of overall tour price
  19. Are there gratuities included? If not included, how much?
    Gratuities are not included and we suggest the equivalence of $10USD in euro per person per day.
  20. When should I expect to receive my travel documents and confirmations?
    Travel Documents and Hotel confirmations will be emailed out 1 week before arrival.
  21. What time can we check-in or out?
    The hotel check in is usually about 2pm and check out is 10am. If you want your room to be available for more time, consider booking an extra night.
  22. Are Airport Transfers included?
    Transfers are included & could be private or shared with other passengers. Airport must be located within 25 miles. Driver will wait a maximum of 1 hour. In case you are retained or delayed, it is your responsibility to contact the transfer number provided with your travel documents.
