  • Day 1: St. Petersburg, Russia
    Upon arrival in St Petersburg, transfer to the hotel and check in. The remainder of the day will be yours to enjoy.
  • Day 2: St. Petersburg
    Begin a panoramic visit of this beautiful city crossed by the Neva River and built on 40 island. St. Petersburg is the 2nd most important city of Russia and capital of the Russian Empire. This imperial city reveals the history of the Russian tsars through its museums, palaces, and architectural wealth. The visit includes the Peter & Paul Fortress, origin of the city. The city is surrounded by numerous palaces, in the afternoon, excursion to the Catherine Palace. It was the Tzars summer rococo residence. (B)
  • Day 3: St. Petersburg
    Today, visit the Hermitage Museum, a fantastic art museum located in the building that was the Tsars’ Winter Palace. The afternoon will be free at your own leisure to enjoy. (B)
  • Day 4: St. Petersburg ~ Novgorod ~ Valday ~ Tver
    Travel to Novgorod, an exciting city that was one of Russia’s most important political and cultural centres. You will visit the Kremlin, the former market district, the court of Yaroslav. Continue to Valday¸a picturesque little city by a lake. You will visit an ancient monastery on the island in the lake before going on to Tver. (B, L, D)
  • Day 5: Tver ~ Suzdal
    A stroll in Tver, a city on the banks of the Volga River that was the centre of a small State that was Moscow’s main rival. After, see some of the cities of the Golden Ring. A brief stop in Klin where you will find the house of the brilliant composer Tchaikovsky. Then carry on to Sergiev Posad, you will see the Monastery of the Trinity, considered Russia’s most important spiritual center. In the afternoon, travel along small roads that pass through historical cities of the Golden Ring, Alekshandrov and Yuryev Polskiy, a small provincial city with its historical Kremlin. The route continues to Suzdal, where you will visit the wooden Architecture Museum, which illustrates the former peasant life with houses built of trunks, their mills, and the Church of the Transfiguration.   • Day 6: Suzdal ~ Moscow
    In the morning, see how the famous Matriuska Dolls are made and painted. Visit Suzdal, which for many is the most beautiful of the cities of the Golden Ring with its canals, flowers, domes on the horizon, which give the city a fairytale lke appearance. Visit the Kremlin and the Cathedral of the city. At the Monastery of St. Eugen, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the Bell Concert Afterwards, travel to Vladimir, where you will visit the majestic Cathedral of the Assumption. Continue to Moscow at the end of the afternoon. (B, L)
  • Day 7: Moscow
    Start your day with an exciting visit to the Russia’s huge capital city. The city unites past, present, and future in a very unique way. Go along their immense avenues, their elegant shopping areas, where Lenin’s Mausoleum is, St Basil’s Cathedral, the Cathedral of the Christ the Savior. Visit two of its main cathedrals at the Kremlim. The afternoon will be yours to enjoy. (B)
  • Day 8: Moscow
    Today, learn more about the history of Russia and its capital. Pass by the University Viewpoint, with its fantastic view over the city where newly married couples leave flowers and you will get to know the Great Patriotic War Museum that shows you many aspects of the Soviet period. The afternoon will be free at leisure. (B)
  • Day 9: Moscow ~ Home
    Today, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home as your trip comes to an end. (B)

    Tourist from all over the world join this tour and it can vary from 4 passengers to 45 passengers.

    This is an Escorted Group Tour by coach with an English speaking guide. This guided tour features the highlights of certain cities in a brief visit.
  3. How much does single supplement or triple sharing cost?
    Single supplement costs an additional $915USD and triple sharing has a $40USD deduction.
  4. Which entrance fees are covered in this tour?
    Catherine Palace in St. Petersburg and Paul Fortress, Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Kremlin and its Principal Cathedrals in Moscow, Kremlin in Novgorod, Monastery in Valday, Wooden Architecture Museum, Church of the Transfiguration, Monastery of St. Eugene, Factory of Matrioskas in Suzdal, Great Patriotic War Museum.
  5. Does this tour include any flights?
    This is a Land Only package tour and it does not include any flights. Please contact us for international flight rates.
  6. What if I don’t want to join the tour some days or only join for half a day?
    Due to this is a group tour, you will need to follow the group for the entire program and cannot deviate. Any deviation will result in a penalty at the discretion of the local office.
  7. Is there a luggage limit?
    The luggage allowed for each passenger on our Europe tours is limited to one piece of a maximum of 66lbs (note airlines and trains have their own limits, normally lower). We may refuse to accept excessively bulky luggage.
  8. Will someone help me with my luggage?
    Porterage is not included and you are responsible to handle your own luggage at all times.
  9. What mode of transportation will be used?
    This tour will use a Coach unless specifically stated.
  10. Will the bus have toilets?
    Some coaches may have toilets available, travelers are asked to limit its use (due to odors and absence of places where emptying and cleaning). Some coaches are fitted with toilets provided on a fee paying basis.
  11. Are the tours wheelchair friendly?
    Our Europe coaches are not equipped with access ramps for wheelchairs.
  12. What do I do if I want to extend my stay?
    Contact us and let us know if you want pre or post and how many days.
  13. How long is the duration of tour?
    A full day of tour is scheduled from around 8am to 7pm
  14. Can three guests stay in the same room?
    Europe has small rooms and in some countries it may be difficult to have 3 beds in a room. It may be a fold out bed or sofa bed. We do not recommend triple rooms/ triple sharing for 3 adults, we would suggest this for families travelling with a child.
  15. Can we change the meal plan?
    Charming Travel Destinations offers vegetarian meal options for travelers. Regrettably, we cannot accommodate certain food options in Europe like Gluten Free or Halal. Please inquire if you have any allergies we need to know about.
  16. What information do I need to provide to book?
    Please provide legal names, email address, phone number, mailing address, number of rooms (single-triple occupancy), travel insurance preference, birth dates, and passport information.
  17. Do I need a visa to visit Europe?
    In 2019, a Visa is not required for travelers with U.S. or Canadian passports to most countries in Europe.
  18. How much is the deposit to reserve a spot in the tour?
    For Land Only, the deposit is $300USD. For Land + Air packages, the deposit will be 50% of overall tour price
  19. Are there gratuities included? If not included, how much?
    Gratuities are not included and we suggest the equivalence of $10USD in euro per person per day.
  20. When should I expect to receive my travel documents and confirmations?
    Travel Documents and Hotel confirmations will be emailed out 1 week before arrival.
  21. What time can we check-in or out?
    The hotel check in is usually about 2pm and check out is 10am. If you want your room to be available for more time, consider booking an extra night.
  22. Are Airport Transfers included?
    Transfers are included & could be private or shared with other passengers. Airport must be located within 25 miles. Driver will wait a maximum of 1 hour. In case you are retained or delayed, it is your responsibility to contact the transfer number provided with your travel documents.
