  • Day 2: Kuala Lumpur
In the morning, start your full day tour with a visit to Kampung Baru, the oldest Malay residential area in Kuala Lumpur. Founded in 1899 on a 92 hectre site, it has a population of about 35,000 and although it is located in the heart of the city, it has managed to retain a village feel to it and you can still see authentic traditional Malay houses here. Continue to the well-known Batu Caves, which has 272 steps to reach the shrine of the Hindu deity Lord Subramaniam, which is set within an outcrop of lime stone caves. This tour is inclusive of a short stop at the Royal Selangor Pewter factory. In the afternoon, visit the National Mosque or in Malay the Masjid Negara, which is the most distinguished mosque in KL. Another must see is the Tugu Negara or War Memorial where we honor those who perished in the war. You will also pass the Moorish-styled Federal Court, the old Railway station which is a striking piece of Mohammedan architecture, the Tudor-styled Cricket Club and the King’s Palace. Visit the Thean Hou Temple situated in Robson Heights, which is the home to patron Goddess Thean Hou of the Hainanese community. This striking six-tiered temple is regarded as one of the biggest Chinese temples in South East Asia.  (B)
  • Day 3: Kuala Lumpur
This full day tour brings you to Malacca which was once colonized by the Portuguese, Dutch, British and the Japanese during their occupation over a period of 400 years. Visit the Dutch Square with the pink colored Stadthuys, Christ Church, Clock Tower and the Queen Victoria Fountain. You will also see the Cheng Hoon Teng, which is the oldest functioning Chinese temple in Malaysia which was founded in 1645. The Porta De Santiago, the Gate to the Portuguese fortress “La Formosa”, built in 1511, the St. Paul’s Church where St. Francis Xavier was once buried and many more interesting sites would also be worth a look. After a local lunch, you will have time to stroll around the Jonker street, famous for its Malaccan antiques.  (B, L)
