  • Day 1: Zagreb
    Zagreb sightseeing tour. Dinner included. Welcome to Zagreb! Upon arrival at the airport, we shall be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. Our guide will arrive with the group from Slovenia around lunch time. Then we will take a sightseeing tour with a local guide. We will have a chance to admire its two hills, the upper town and the new neighborhoods of Croatia's capital city. (D)        
  • Day 2: Zagreb ~ Maglaj, Bosnia ~ Sarejevo
    Sightseeing tour of Sarajevo. Tunnel of Hope. Dinner included. We will leave first thing in the morning to travel to Bosnia. The border area still shows sad memories of the conflict in the 1990s. First stop Maglaj, take a stroll around this pretty Bosnian village, and then enjoy some lunch. We continue our journey to Sarajevo, arriving in the mid-afternoon. With a local guide, we will take a panoramic tour of this city with strong Turkish influence: its Mosques, its Madrasahs, and its busy bazaars. We will also see the Tunnel of Hope that saved the city during the Serbian siege. Dinner included. Note: Depending on the arrival time, the Tunnel of Hope can also be visited on Friday before leaving for Mostar. (B, D)
  • Day 3: Sarajevo ~ Mostar ~ Medjugorje ~ Dubrovnik, Croatia
    Beautiful landscapes throughout the stage: mountains, rivers, waterfalls, lakes, picturesque villages en route. Dinner included. Another exciting drive of scenic beauty. Amidst deep valleys, we travel to Mostar, with its very beautiful historic centre and Stonebridge separating the Orthodox, Muslim and Catholic communities. After lunch, we stop in Medjugorje, a place that attracts thousands of Catholic Pilgrims. We then travel to Kravice, we stop at its magnificent waterfalls before continuing to Croatia. Border procedures (which may be long). We will then arrive into Dubrovnik at the end of the day. Dinner included (B)
  • Day 4: Dubrovnik
    Panoramic tour of Dubrovnik. Cable car ride. Dinner included. In the morning we enjoy a panoramic tour of Dubrovnik with a local guide. We are undoubtedly in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, surrounded by walls, bathed by the Adriatic Sea; its intact historic centre is a jewel of world architectural heritage. The tour includes tickets to the Franciscan Monastery with the oldest pharmacy in Europe, and the Cathedral. We also take the cable car to give us a fantastic view of the city and the neighboring islands. You can then enjoy free time, returning to the hotel at the end of the afternoon. Dinner included. Note: Accommodation in Dubrovnik will be in Cavtat, a coastal town near the city. (B, D)
  • Day 5: Dubrovnik ~ Kotor, Montenegro ~ Tirana, Albania
    Beautiful scenery of the Adriatic Coast. Dinner included. We set off early for Montenegro. The coastal scenery and the Bay of Kotor are beautiful. We enjoy a ferry to cross the bay. Arrive in Kotor to enjoy some time strolling in this beautiful walled town with its strong Venetian influence. After this we stop in Budva, a marvelous walled village surrounded by the sea to enjoy lunch. Then we travel to Albania. We arrive in the capital of the Albania, Tirana, and enjoy some free time.  (B, D)

  • Day 6: Tirana ~ Struga, Macedonia ~ Ohrid
    Panoramic tour of Tirana. Slow mountains roads through rural areas. Dinner included. Today we make a panoramic tour of Tirana, with its Mosques, the Clock Tower and the ministries. At around midday, we leave for inland Albania, with high mountain scenery and small villages along the way. Enjoy the beautiful countryside around Lake Ohrid which forms the border with Macedonia. We continue to the Republic of Macedonia, and onto Struga, a picturesque town on the shores of the lake, time for lunch! We continue to Ohrid, a city with a strong Ottoman influence, you can stroll and see the Plaosnik Monastery, or the ancient university founded in the ninth century. The city is declared World Heritage. (B, D)
  • Day 7: Ohrid ~ Kastoria ~ Kalabaca, Greece
    Beautiful Balkan landscapes. Spectacular in the Meteora. Dinner included. Today we travel through Macedonia to Greece, passing through Bitola, a historic city that was called the 'City of Consuls'. The North of Greece is strongly Slav and Ottoman in influence and has a sharp landscape. Situated by the lake, with beautiful scenery, we see Kastoria. Enjoy the city of 100 churches, with its medieval streets and its pleasant restaurants on the lakeside. Continuing to Kalabaka, we will arrive in the early afternoon. We will visit the Valley of the Meteora, an impressive place declared UNESCO World Heritage. You will also have the chance to enter one of its most famous Monasteries (entrance included). (B, D)

  • Day 8: Kalabaca ~ Thessaloniki ~ Melnik ~ Sandansky, Bulgaria
    Beautiful landscapes of Macedonia. Dinner included. We travel through the North of Greece, amidst pretty mountain scenery, to the Aegean Sea. Arrive in Thessalonica with time for a stroll and lunch in Greece's second largest city. After this we continue towards Bulgaria, and the border pass. In Bulgarian Macedonia we stop in Melnik, a picturesque museum village in beautiful scenery amidst a wine producing area. Arrive in Sandanski, at this beautiful small spa city, the birthplace of Spartacus. Dinner and accommodation. (B, D)
  • Day 9: Sandansky ~ Rila ~ Sofia
    Rila monastery. City tour of Sofia. We visit the beautiful Rila Monastery, the heritage of mankind, with its appearance of a fortress surrounded by forests. We continue to Sofia, where we arrive at the end of the morning. After lunch, we include a tour of the capital of Bulgaria, where we will see the Alexander Nevski Cathedral, the Russian Church, the Mosque, its squares and avenues of Stalinist architecture. Rest of day at leisure. (B, D)
  • Day 10: Sofia ~ Bachkovo ~ Plovdiv
    In the morning we will leave for Bachkovo Monastry, Bulgaria's second most important monastery, founded in the eleventh century, with its three churches, we feel it as a place full of peace. Continue to Plovdiv, where we will visit the city, which is one of the oldest in Europe. Here we include tickets to the Roman Amphitheatre, the ancient chemist's and the Armenian House. (B, D)
  • Day 11: Plovdiv ~ Kanzanlak ~ Shipka ~ Etara ~ Arbanassi ~ Veliko Tarnovo
    Today's journey takes us through beautiful scenery across the Balkans mountain range. In the valley of the Roses, we will see Kazanlak where tickets are included to the replica of the Thracian Tomb (Heritage of Mankind) and we will learn about the production of products derived from the roses. Amidst the mountains, we stop at the Russian church of Shipka, which commemorates the war between Russia and Turkey. Visit Etara with its charming village/ethnographic museum. Lunch included. After this we travel to Arbanassi, an ancient trading city with its fortress-houses, where we visit the Church of the Nativity with entrance included. Travel to Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria's former capital, with a very picturesque medieval centre. Note: In some cases, Arbanasi may be visited on Sunday morning instead of Saturday. (B, L)
  • Day 12: Veliko Tarnovo ~ Bucharest
    Panoramic tour of Bucharest. Dinner included. We travel to Romania and on our way we will stop to visit the Basarbovski Monastery, a place of pilgrimage dug out of the rock. We proceed to cross the border and the river Danube, arriving to Bucharest in the early afternoon. Time for lunch, then we will take a panoramic tour of the city with its ancient quarter and the giant Parliament Palace. Leisure time followed by dinner. (B, D)

    Breakfast, then transfer to airport for your flight back home as your trip comes to an end. (B)

    Tourist from all over the world join this tour and it can vary from 4 passengers to 45 passengers.

    This is an Escorted Group Tour by coach with an English speaking guide. This guided tour features the highlights of certain cities in a brief visit.
  3. How much does single supplement or triple sharing cost?
    Single supplement costs an additional $810USD and triple sharing has a $80USD deduction.
  4. Which entrance fees are covered in this tour?

    This is a Land Only package tour and it does not include any flights. Please contact us for international flight rates.
  6. What if I don’t want to join the tour some days or only join for half a day?
    Due to this is a group tour, you will need to follow the group for the entire program and cannot deviate. Any deviation will result in a penalty at the discretion of the local office.
  7. Is there a luggage limit?
    The luggage allowed for each passenger on our Europe tours is limited to one piece of a maximum of 66lbs (note airlines and trains have their own limits, normally lower). We may refuse to accept excessively bulky luggage.
  8. Will someone help me with my luggage?
    Porterage is not included and you are responsible to handle your own luggage at all times.
  9. What mode of transportation will be used?
    This tour will use a Coach unless specifically stated.
  10. Will the bus have toilets?
    Some coaches may have toilets available, travelers are asked to limit its use (due to odors and absence of places where emptying and cleaning). Some coaches are fitted with toilets provided on a fee paying basis.
  11. Are the tours wheelchair friendly?
    Our Europe coaches are not equipped with access ramps for wheelchairs.
  12. What do I do if I want to extend my stay?
    Contact us and let us know if you want pre or post and how many days.
  13. How long is the duration of tour?
    A full day of tour is scheduled from around 8am to 7pm
  14. Can three guests stay in the same room?
    Europe has small rooms and in some countries it may be difficult to have 3 beds in a room. It may be a fold out bed or sofa bed. We do not recommend triple rooms/ triple sharing for 3 adults, we would suggest this for families traveling with a child.
  15. Can we change the meal plan?
    Charming Travel Destinations offers vegetarian meal options for travelers. Regrettably, we cannot accommodate certain food options in Europe like Gluten Free or Halal. Please inquire if you have any allergies we need to know about.
  16. What information do I need to provide to book?
    Please provide legal names, email address, phone number, mailing address, number of rooms (single-triple occupancy), travel insurance preference, birth dates, and passport information.
  17. Do I need a visa to visit Europe?
    In 2020, a Visa is not required for travelers with U.S. or Canadian passports to most countries in Europe.
  18. How much is the deposit to reserve a spot in the tour?
    For Land Only, the deposit is $300USD. For Land + Air packages, the deposit will be 50% of overall tour price
  19. Are there gratuities included? If not included, how much?
    Gratuities are not included and we suggest the equivalence of $10USD in euro per person per day.
  20. When should I expect to receive my travel documents and confirmations?
    Travel Documents and Hotel confirmations will be emailed out 1 week before arrival.
  21. What time can we check-in or out?
    The hotel check in is usually about 2pm and check out is 10am. If you want your room to be available for more time, consider booking an extra night.
  22. Are Airport Transfers included?
    Transfers are included & could be private or shared with other passengers. Airport must be located within 25 miles. Driver will wait a maximum of 1 hour. In case you are retained or delayed, it is your responsibility to contact the transfer number provided with your travel documents.
