  • Day 1: Chiang Mai, Bangkok
    Upon arrival in Chiang Mai, transfer to the hotel and check in. The remainder of the day will be at own leisure to enjoy.
  • Day 2: Chiang Mai
    For your first visit to Northern Thailand and to make you feel more confident to enjoy the tastes and smells the capital of the Lanna Kingdom Chiang Mai has offered, our first start is at the legendary Warorot Market which is home to many a tasty treat where you will learn specifically about ingredients and spices used for Northern Thai cooking. It is also a must visit for food lovers as it offers a wide range of ready-to-eat meals, local snacks and all kinds of fresh produce. Here, you can sample Sai Oua (grilled northern-style sausage), Nam Prik Ong & Nam Prik Noom (red and green chili dip) and Cap Moo (crispy pork skin). Adjacent to Warorot Market, we will wander to Ton Lam Yai Market, the city's main flower and fruit market. The sizes, shapes, colors, smells and tastes of Asian fruits will amaze you. Afterwards, we head out of the city to sample the typical Northern Thailand dish “Kao Soi”, the soft and crispy wheat noodles in a curry broth. It is time to experience a historical and architectural charm of Chiang Mai. Visit the unveiling the ancient city of Wiang Kum Kam, situated in the vast plains of the far north of the country, the largest area of flat land at the site of present-day Chiang Mai and Lamphun. After the visit here, drive back to Chiang Mai city, stop for refreshment at Aka Ama, a small quaint coffee house and also one of the winners of the World Cup Testers competition 2011. Return to the hotel for a break. Enjoy an evening out by having a Khantoke Dinner which food being served in pedestal tray used as a small dining table while you sit on mats on the floor. There is also a special hilltribe show performed by various members of Yao, Lahu, Meo, Lisu, and Karen hilltribe. After dinner, continue to Chiang Mai’s colorful Night Bazaar. The guide will escort you through the city’s most popular and typical market. There are plenty of stalls selling stuff, everything from local crafts to fun imitation goods. (B, L, D)
  • Day 3: Chiang Mai
    Today, we will bring you to enjoy beauty of the lush tea plantation and learn all about the tea growing process. Araksa Tea Plantation is located on a scenic, evergreen hill in Mae Tang District. It specializes in producing high quality Assam tea, a black tea named after India's largest tea growing region. You will be invited to join resident tea pickers, watch how the leaves are processed according to age-old traditions and then enjoy a cup of tea and traditional Thai snack. Take a break from Northern-Thai style food. As you may know that cuisine of Thailand's neighbors have mutually influenced on Thai dishes over centuries. For luncheon, we will take you to taste astonishing Yunnanese foods at a local restaurant which has been opened for three decades, run by an extended Chinese family from Yunnan.

    After lunch, drive up the serpentine road to the magnificently situated Wat Doi Suthep. Perched on a forested mountain, this most sacred Chiang Mai temple (3,280 ft) provides a superb view over the city, as well as a wealth of images and frescos. Then, continue to Hilltribe Village with its unique marts at Doi Pui. Here you see the Hmong people in their colorful costumes, selling their wide range of antiques, curious decorative ornaments and fabrics.

    Return to the hotel for a break. Tonight, enjoy a Night Street Food Tour. You will be driven to the city’s best food eateries and stalls, accompanied by our guide who can explain not only the ingredients and cooking methods of each dish, but also teach you a few Thai phrases to order some of the food yourself and guide you to properly eat of each dish.   • Day 4: Chiang Mai ~ Bangkok
    Your culinary adventure will not be completed if experience in a cooking course in Chiang Mai is missing. Let’s start cooking in a friendly environment with lots of fun at Pantawan Cooking School. The cooking course starts with a visit of local market, an introduction to Thai ingredients and actual cooking. The lesson has a warm and easy-going atmosphere of Thai hospitality, beautiful modern wooden house set in a relaxing garden and an organic farm. You will also have to prepare food yourself step by step with a great help, tips and hints from professional instructors. The class is full of fun with a real hands-on experience and testing of what you have cooked will make your day so memorable. Afterward, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Bangkok. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and check in and the remainder of the day will be yours to enjoy. (B, L,)
  • Day 5: Bangkok
    This morning, take a half day walking food tour. The food tour combines delectable food tasting with off-the-beaten sightseeing. This tour is a delicious and fun way to explore Bangkok just like a local. As we journey along our easy-to-walk route, you will meet and engage with restaurant owners, sample their generations-old artisanal recipes, and visit fascinating local attractions hidden away from major tourist path. Not only you will get full exposure to the Thai gastronomic tradition but your visit will also be a great support to local community. In the afternoon, take a city & temple tour and visit some of the famous temples. See three of the most unusual Buddhist temples in Bangkok: Wat Trimitr with its invaluable Golden Buddha with 5 tons of solid gold. Wat Po, the most extensive temple in Bangkok, with its colossal Reclining Buddha and the Chedis of the Kings. The Grand Palace is one of the most beautiful samples of an ancient Siamese court. It used to be the residence of the Kings of Thailand. Here you will see palaces which were used for different occasions: the Funeral Palace, the Reception Palace, the Throne Hall, the Coronation Hall, the Royal Guest House, and the beautiful Emerald Buddha Temple.   • Day 6: Bangkok
    The Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, situated 110kms west of Bangkok, is a very attractive place for tourists to see the old style and traditional way of selling and buying fruits, vegetables, etc., from small boats. You will also see traditional Thai houses, the way they live and travel by boats. The tour includes a visit to Nakorn Pathorn, site of the highest Chedi in Thailand called "Phra Patom Chedi" which is the largest pagoda in Southeast Asia. Return to the hotel and the afternoon will be yours to enjoy. (B)
  • Day 7: Bangkok ~ Phuket
    Today, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Phuket. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and check in. The remainder of the day will be at your own leisure to enjoy. (B)
  • Day 8: Phuket
    Phuket is an amazing melting pot of cultures and cuisines. One of the most widely present cultural representations, immediately evident as you’re walking around Phuket town is the Chinese influence, which is positively reflected into the local Phuket food. Start your first day of culinary adventure with local brunch at Lock Tien one of the most well-known local restaurants in Phuket town for tasting original Hokkien fried noodles of Phuket and other local dishes. Afterwards, discover the non-touristic Phuket town, wander along the roads representing the architecture of Phuket's history and its unique style called "Sino-Portuguese architecture Style". You will visit an old Chinese temple and walk pass the old colonial mansions, the small food and fruit stalls. Taste some Thai fruits and snacks along the way. Continue city visit to Thaihua Museum, small present the story and recipe of Phuket Baba cuisine, which is formed from the combination of spicy southern Thai food, local Malay food, Indian spices and Chinese dishes, were mostly influenced by Penang. Tonight, enjoy dinner at the Tu Kab Khao Restaurant, undoubtedly one of the most well-known restaurants that serves Phuket cuisine in town. (B, L, D)
  • Day 9: Phuket
    The morning will be at your own leisure. In the afternoon, head towards Chalong Bay Rum distillery for a fun tropical cocktail workshop with general rum production information. After enjoying your own made tropical cocktail, we will proceed to Weekend Market, or Talat Thai Rot (Phuket Town). This is by far the biggest market in Phuket. Besides, a fascinating jumble of goods and souvenirs on sales, here you can sample tasty street food and get a chance to taste your light dinner at this area. This place is a popular spot for locals as well as visitors. (B,D)
  • Day 10: Phuket ~ Home
    Phuket’s cuisine has a strong influence from China, one of the Chinese influenced food that is common to eat for breakfast or brunch in Phuket is Dim Sum. Visit Boonrad Dim Sum, one of the most popular dim sum restaurants to sample a few dishes and enjoy the atmosphere and the culture at the same time. Continue your gastronomic day to Rang hill, one of the few and best viewpoints on the eastern coast of Phuket. Then, take a long-tail speedboat from Laem Hin Pier to visit Kru Wit Floating Restaurant the floating freshly live seafood restaurant in Phuket. The highlight is the fresh-live seafood cooked by talented professional chefs with the fresh-air comfortable atmosphere. Enjoy fresh seafood lunch menu cooked from Lobster, Crab meat, fish and prawn. Afterward, transfer to the airport for your flight back home as your trip comes to an end. (B, L)
