India- A spiritual experience

My coworker was getting ready for her first trip ever to India and it got me thinking of my first trip ever to India and the first memory that comes to mind is this picture.Taj Majal On my first trip to India I decided to go on one of our India Group Tours.  I went to Delhi, Jaipur, Varanasi, Agra, Samode, Pushkar and Bharatpur.  I saw so many wonderful landmarks, experienced so much, ate so much too..haha, but my first memory to this date is still this image below.  This was my first glimpse in person of the beautiful Taj Majal.  Even to this date after going to India for more than 5 times, I still can’t get this image out of my mind.  I remember the feeling of amazement and saying to myself,  “Wow, I’m actually here”.  I’m always pushing for friends and family to visit India as it’s truly an experience of a lifetime.  Not only the culture shock that will rock you off your feet, but the food, the sites, the people, just everything is so different to what one is accustomed to living in the US or in the western world.  My first trip to India was a very spiritual and enlightenment experience and this image kind of captures it all for me.India-1
