Accommodation here is basic but comfortable – the chalets exist so that visitors can stay and witness the night-time arrivals of the magnificent turtles as they come ashore to lay eggs. You won’t find any pools or spas, but that’s not really what Selingan’s all about. There is air-conditioning, and the shared bathrooms and toilets are well-kept and clean. Visitors enjoy a highly privileged chance to watch both egg-layings and the release of hatchlings into the sea. Facilities are basic on the island so please do bear this in mind when visiting: the island is about the turtle experience and unfortunately not necessarily the quality of the accommodation.
The Selingan Island Park Chalets offer just 25 comfortable air-conditioned twin bedded rooms all with attached bathrooms. There is a small cafeteria for your buffet-style meals, a souvenir shop selling a range of snacks and an exhibition room detailing information on the important work being done in the Marine National Park.
