This morning, make your own way to the London Eye to meet the group. Today, take a one day tour to a wonderful area of England, classic “real” English scenery. Shakespeare’s home town of Stratford upon Avon, the beautiful countryside of The Cotswolds and the fantastic city of Oxford with its world famous University! Before we arrive at Stratford we will discuss the history of the town and its most famous resident – William Shakespeare. On arrival we will head to Shakespeare’s birthplace (Entrance fee of GBP17 per person to be payable on site) where you will have the option to enter the birthplace – the house where he was born and spent the early years of his life.
Following the optional visit to Shakespeare’s birthplace we’ll have some time for lunch and a walking tour of the rest of the town including the church where Shakespeare is buried. On leaving Stratford, we’ll head south through The Cotswolds, driving through some of it’s best towns and villages and a chance to see classic English countryside life and the chance to stop and take some pictures. On arrival in Oxford we will enjoy a guided walking tour of this wonderful city. The chance to see some of its historic and beautiful colleges and discuss some of Oxford University’s most famous ex-students and talk about the traditional life of its students. You’ll then have some free time to explore by yourself or do some shopping.
